How to Prepare Barley Coffee

You can enjoy it in three delicious ways:

Cold Coffee:
Mix 1 cup mylk + 1 tsp barley coffee + 1 tbsp jaggery powder.
For a stronger taste, use 1 tbsp of coffee.

Hot Coffee (Cow Milk):
Prepare like regular hot coffee.

Hot Coffee (Plant-Based):
Boil ½ cup water + 1 tsp barley coffee. Turn off the heat, add ½ cup coconut mylk + jaggery powder. Strain if required.

Black Coffee:
Boil 1 tsp barley coffee in 1 cup of water & enjoy

Note: Some residue or sediment at the bottom is completely normal and safe to consume. Strain it for a smoother experience.

Barley coffee is made from roasted and ground whole barley grains so it naturally leaves some residue. These are just tiny bits of the grain (like fiber and bran) that don't fully dissolve in water. They’re safe, natural, and even nutritious — but if you prefer a smoother cup, you can always strain it.
